Advanced Placement Places Leland and Gray on Top

By Joe Towle, Social Studies Teacher
Townshend - Congratulations to our 23 students who took 38 Advanced Placement exams last year here at L&G.  The courses included Calculus AB, United States History, Studio Art 3D, English Literature and Composition, Biology, Music Theory, and Chemistry that were taught within the building.  Art History and US Government and Politics were taken online.  L&G students earned an average of a 3.34 on all their exams compared to the 3.04 average for Vermont, 2.89 for the United States, and 2.91 globally.  These results are consistent with our high scores from earlier years.  All the teachers in the district deserve credit and congratulations for teaching and preparing their students so well for such demanding tests.
